These majestic and extraordinary mountains in our San Gabriel Valley Backyard are a treasure worth your exploration, conservation, stewardship, and investment for the future of Southern California.  The SAN GABRIELS are a treasure trove of beauty, resources, biodiversity, recreation, education, and inspiration.  The SAN GABRIELS are the centerpiece of the largest urban national forest in the continental United States:  The Angeles National Forest.

Projects

With the help of our many partners, SGMIA has started many projects and events to celebrate, educate and restore our San Gabriel Mountains and National Forest.  Join us for these educational and stewarding events and projects.  Do you want to join in?  Do you have any project ideas?  Let us know.  Many more events and projects coming in 2007.  Check out our calendar for dates, times and descriptions!
