The SAN GABRIELS are the centerpiece of the largest urban national forest in the continental United States: The Angeles National Forest.

Glendora Gem Show Partnering with the Conservancies on Environmental Projects!
Glendora Gem Show & Artistry in Stone Competition is set for Saturday, June 5 from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday, June 6 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Location is: Goddard Middle School (gym), 859 E. Sierra Madre, Glendora.

May is Brodiaea Month at the Glendora Conservancy
The endangered brodiaea plant is at peak of bloom in May. From the flyer, learn about brodiaea history and Conservancy activities in May which feature this rare plant protected in the Conservancy Reserve.

San Gabriel River Clean-up at Whittier Narrows Dam The River Clean-up scheduled for May 8 has been changed.
Please Note: The San Gabriel River Clean-up has been changed to avoid calendar conflicts and to provide adequate staffing. TWO new dates to Calendar for your participation in the river cleanup are:
- Fall - National Make a Difference Day (Sat/October 30, 2010), and
- Spring - Regional Make a Difference Day (Sat/February 26, 2011).
Looking forward to this great cleanup need and effort to clean up the river and the impacts that inland trash makes on the ocean and coastal areas. Thanks for your interest!
